Fremgangsmåde
Tænd ovnen på 150 grader varmluft.
Vask og rens rabarberstænglerne og skær dem i stykker på 1-1½ cm.
(Eller køb dem færdige på frost). Sådan skal du behandle frosne bær. Klik her.
Vend dem med sukker og vaniljesukker og lad dem trække.
Pisk sukker, smør og vaniljesukker til det er luftigt. Rør æggene i ét ad gangen.
Bland bagepulver med hvedemel og rør det forsigtigt i dejen skiftevis med mælk.
Smør bageformen godt. Hæld dejen i formen. Læg rabarberstykkerne på toppen og tryk dem godt ned i dejen. Drys med rørsukker på toppen.
Bag kagen v. 150 grader varmluft i ca. 1 time.
Kagen er færdig, når den er sprød og gylden på toppen, og du kan stikke en gaffel i uden, der hænger dej ved.
Serveres lun med vaniljeis eller flødeskum til.
Opbevar kagen køligt og tildækket, så vil den holde sig frisk i dagevis.
Kagen er fryseegnet og smager ekstra godt, hvis du luner den lidt i ovnen efter optøning.
Brug opskriften som en grundopskrift. Du kan sagtens udskifte rabarber med anden frugt eller bær.
