Skyl kødet. Kog vandet op, og kom kødet i.

Skær løg og rodfrugter i mindre stykker og put i vandet sammen med grødris.

Lad det koge ved svag varme, indtil kødet er helt mørt.
Fjern skum fra overfladen undervejs.

Smag til med salt og peber og server evt. med lidt sennep og groft brød.
